February 2022 – Dylan asks Matt if he wants to meet up for coffee. At the time, Dylan was working part time at a Bible Camp while also working in his side business, doing content creation. Matt was working full time in a Project Management position and also had a side hustle in helping construction businesses start up and maintain an online presence. Dylan was feeling a little lost as he didn’t feel totally fulfilled at that time creating content for all industries. Something had to change.

Fast forward to November 2022, and another meeting over coffee, and Matt and Dylan shook hands on moving forward together as one business. Over the next 5 months, they worked hard finishing up jobs from their own businesses and working on creating the foundation for their new business. After much back and forth discussion, TruGrit was born. TruGrit was incorporated as a BC business in May 2023, and they haven’t looked back since!

TruGrit was born to serve the Construction Industry. With Matt’s excellent behind the scenes facilitation and Dylan’s fiery passion to help better the industry, their combined skill sets make a great team! Together, they want to create an ‘A’ player team that is passionate about helping businesses create strong foundations, share powerful stories and help Redefine the Construction Industry!
