Country Lumber is a leader in their space as a supplier of a wide range of building materials, specifically lumber, located in Langley, BC. They supply a wide variety of lumber products, ranging from finish material, to dimensional lumber, to engineered wood products. They boast a fleet of 20+ trucks. Since the 80s, they have established themselves as the preferred supplier for numerous builders, contractors and developers throughout the Fraser Valley, stretching to Pemberton and Hope.
The Scope
TruGrit was brought in to use video to highlight the multiple facets of the company, showcase its culture, and tell its unique story. We worked with their ownership and teams to craft a unique story for three seperate videos, each with a distinct purpose.
The Challenge
To create three specific videos that carry the narrative of a building supplier that caters both to the small contractor or weekend remodeler, and the established general contractor or developer, all while serving them with unparalleled customer service and providing a a great culture for their employees.
FROM FAMILY-RUN TO 100+ EMPLOYEES
Country Lumber story is one of immense growth in the face of adversity. Starting in the middle of a recession in the 80s as a family-run business, they have now transitioned into a business that employs 130+ employees. Our video tells that story and showcases how they’ve kept the original owners’ feel while expanding the business to serve a larger and more diverse range of clients.

Country has strong relationships with their current clients, and these clients desire to continue their relationship with Country. We highlighted how 80-90% of Country’s business is repeat customers, and these people come back because of the quality customer service and relationships formed. We highlighted multiple stories of internal promotion and investment by the management staff, all to attract talented A-players to Country Lumbers who can hang their hat there and call Country Home for years to come.
DOMINANCE IN ENGINEERED WOOD
We created a video that educates and showcases Country Lumber’s impressive Engineered Wood Products (EWP) division. This video’s goal is to educate newcomers and impress construction veterans with the size and capabilities of their EWP yard Although their Engineered Wood Products are primarily distributed throughout the Fraser Valley, they deliver as far as Vancouver Island, to Kelowna, to Alberta. Country Lumber is the largest single distributor of Warehousers Truss Joist Products in North America. This video gives new clients the confidence that no matter the size or location of their project, Country Lumber can satisfy their EWP needs.
